wow this is getting to be a habit again ... see what happens when work goes quiet
So we had our big expensive 2nd anniversary meal in Rolys Bistro last night. Expensive but delicious. Brid gave us a voucher for a chinese restaurant in Rathfarnham, that will be a nice treat sometime next week perhaps. |

Still bored. One of our clients decided to do their latest project inhouse, so that leaves me messing around sending the odd email or two and not really justifying my existence here ...
We might be driving out to Tyrrelstown tomorrow. Ann is apparently going to send the valuers cheque to EBS so looks like thats who we will be going with. As long as the whole process gets moving along by mid July, I will be happy.
2nd last episode of Buffy tonight, "End of Days". Kind of get the feeling that it will all be over before i've had time for it to sink in. All good things ... |

| | Stereophonics - Have a Nice Day | ] | Wow. as usual it has been way too long. But a very quiet spell at work this week has given me the chance to log on again.
So whats been happening. Well on the house front, we're slowly getting there. I called the Tyrrelstown site office yesterday, completion certs set to be issued at the end of June or early July. We will have to hire a surveyor to work on the snag list for us. So still on target to move in August this year. Meeting Alice on Thursday night to progress the mortgage offers. Really keen to get this sorted out ASAP.
Since my last installment in January Julia has got engaged and the wedding is set for August 11 this year! Very soon :) Dad and Keith both due to fly back and stay for 2 weeks, end of July to mid August.
Arrangements have been made to fly out to Norway June 20 for Lena's wedding. Will be great to see Arne and Anne again as well.
Tonight will be another save money and stay in affair. Hey, at least I'm catching up on my reading ;)
Should be in Inchicore on Friday for Pats v Cork. |

| | Basement Jaxx - Being With U | ] | Went to see a sneak preview of 8 Mile last night in the Ster Century cinema in Liffey Valley. Those rap battles at the end were the shit LOL. Good to see such a focused performance and real rap delivery from Eminem, never got into the Eminem Show, seemed like the same old same old to me. |

He arrived on the 22nd, we went to an Elvis show at the Olympia that night, then onto Dame Lane. Met Bob as well, havent seen him for a long time, he's back in Dublin for good, his travels in Amsterdam over. |

| | Basement Jaxx - Bingo Bango | ] | OK REALLY bored at work today, so might as well fill the whole world in on everything that's going on with me as we start the year 2003.
Tried to get an update on the house in Tyrrelstown today but the estate agents kept me on hold. I would try again but there are people building a new meeting room here in the office, can't hear yourself think. Last we heard was that the ESB had to do some electricity work before building could start on our new house. So who knows, we could move in this summer, or maybe even as late as the autumn. It will happen by November anyway as it's in the contract that they have to build within the year. Still have to finalise the mortgage though. Holding off for a bit due to recent circumstances which I shall go into at a later stage. |

oh why not attempt an update. It must be months since I've posted.
Well I am still here in the same company, same routine. Another round of redundancies early December. Hopefully that will be the last. Sick of seeing friends lose their jobs and being stabbed in the back. |

| | Smashing Pumpkins - Age of Innocence | ] | Ann is still delighted with Kilkenny's win on Sunday, she even bought two newspapers just to read all the writeups! Wonder if we can get tickets for the All-Ireland this time around. 56,000 at Croke Park yesterday, we were in the upper tier of the Cusack stand which gives you a great overall view of the scale of the place. |

Keith called last night when I was here in the office working overtime. He's back looking for work again after his freelance spell finished. He's found a bar which shows Sky Sports, even Digital, 24/7. So it turns out he had seen most of the Villa v Liverpool game. |

Doing a nifty little job I think. Not much news, lying low seeing as I only have 80 euro in my pocket to last me until 30th Sept. |

| | The Realists - Freak Mode | ] | Friday, sun is shining and I am in surprisingly good form after expecting a real pisser of a day. Getting bawled out yesterday for being late was not good, have to really get back on track with punctuality. But in on the dot at 9 today, and thanks be to jaysis my advance money came through. So I can afford a few beers this weekend - heading to Inchicore with John for the Pats v Shels Cup match. |

It was a football weekend all round, went to Tolka Park Friday night to see Pat's take on Shelbourne. Sweet revenge for last season as Pats won 2-1 through a penalty scored by Griffin and a second half header by Tony Bird from a corner. Met Joseph Dunne at the game, and it turns out Gerry's firend Gav was there as well. |

Saturday was fun. 3 hours of football down in Herbert Park finished off with a classic golden goal winner from yours truly. Then off to Templeogue for dinner with Brid, Julia and Tom. The evening was rounded off by Minority Report out in UCI Tallaght.
But back to the goal, a long 40 yard punt from the keeper to me, first time touch with my left foot sending it past their last defender, leaving me clear for a one-on-one with the keeper, buried it home. Legennnnnnnnnnnd |

nice quiet Monday here in the office, just helping out other people on their projects. Nice to feel sober again after too many beers when watching the Community Shield game on Sunday. Quite a good crowd in Sinnotts for the game, John, Gerry, Neil, Gar, Adam, Gav. They went on to Judge Roy Beans but I had to get home, no cash to go on a bender. |
